About Me
I was born in Lithuania—an accident of the Soviet geopolitical landscape—to Jewish Belarussian parents.
My family’s immigration to Canada in the 1990s occasioned a mild identity crisis, as well as a preoccupation with immigrant narratives. My poetry shatters and uplifts; my writing pokes fun at place and circumstance.
I hold an Hon. BA in English from the University of Toronto and am (imperfectly) quadrilingual. I lived in beautiful, multicultural Toronto for 35+ years. I now call eclectic, unique, and multifaceted Winnipeg home.
My work has appeared in small poems for the masses, The Banister, IDIOM: English Undergraduate Academic Journal, and Acta Victoriana.
